Mr. D A Prasanna
Chairman of Supervisory Board
As a founder, he has mapped the vision and strategy for the organization. He has experience in leveraging Asian competitiveness building successful global business in medical technology for GE and software for Wipro. As Exec Chairman of the Manipal Group, his focus was on developing a research thrust for the Group. Considered a thought leader in Health care and Life Sciences, he has worked in global leadership positions in GE and was Vice Chairman of Wipro. He serves on the board of various Pharma companies and Research institutes.
Prasanna is acknowledged in the healthcare sector as the pioneer in creating a market for high tech. medical equipment and delivering clinical excellence at low patient fees in Asian Hospitals, through innovative strategies. As the startup CEO of GE Medical in India, he also developed a $330 m Global Business in healthcare for GE Medical Systems (GEMS) by leveraging India's competitiveness taking the company from no 5 to No 1. He has also been a founding member of Wipro's team that initiated the company's entry into IT and was Vice Chairman of Wipro Ltd.
He is an independent Director of Take Solutions Ltd. He serves on the Governing Council of Center for Policy Research, India's leading Think Tank and of T A Pai Management Institute, a reputed Business School. He is a Trustee on Shriram Ownership Trust, which shapes the strategy of Shriram group of companies. He has served as Chairman of GEBEL, GEMS IT Ltd and GE X-Ray(South Asia) and Director of GE Yokogawa Medical Systems Ltd, Japan and GE Samsung Ltd, Korea, Wipro GE Medical Systems Ltd, India and Shasun Chemical & Drugs Ltd India. He brings rich experience in pharma and healthcare.

Prof Fabio Marazzi

Prof. Fabio Marazzi, Senior Partner and Managing Director of M+BIOLAW, is one of Europe's leading attorneys focused on the areas of biotechnology, research, intellectual property and international organizations with presence in other parts of the world. Since its inception in 1995, as the Founder, the Company has grown providing services to over 400 clients from commerce, business, trade and research. With his expertise in the areas, he is on the Board of ECRON AcuNova, Europe.
Prior to his entreprenual expertise, Fabio Marazzi was with leading firms namely De Bandt, Van Hecke & Lagae Brussels, Lamb Chamber, London, amongst others. In addition, he conducts frequent lectures and serves as an appointee in several official capacities and important roles namely CONSTEM Association for Stem Cell Research, Consultant to the Minister of Health for technology transfer with the United States regarding stem cell research and Director of the Interdepartmental Centre of Biotechnology Law (Siena University). Since 2003, Prof Marazzi has been conducting lectures at Bergamo University and the UNESCO chair in ‘Human Rights and Ethics of International Cooperation’ to his credit.
Prof. Marazzi is a member of many international legal and business associations, including Union International des Avocats (Paris), International Bar Association (London), American Bar Association, American Society of International Law, BioIndustry Association, Fellow: Centre for International Legal Studies (Vienna), as well as Consultant: Italian Chamber of Commerce (Los Angeles) amongst others. Prof. Marazzi is the author of over 80 publications and lectures regarding stem cell storage, research and legal issues; data privacy and patient information; tissue banking laws and directives, and other related biotechnology and life science issues.
Prof Marazzi has completed his post graduation in Bioethics from Milan, in addition to a Certificate in Art and Law from Leicester, UK. He holds a LL.M. in European Union Commercial Law from Leicester University UK. Prof Marazzi graduated with a Law degree from Sacro Cuore Catholic University of Milan. |

Balaji Iyengar Durai

Balaji Iyengar Durai, CFO for Manipal Acunova Ltd, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with more than 13 years of experience in the field of Corporate Finance. He is one of the founding members of Manipal Acunova and plays an important role as a member of the M&A team in the globalization initiatives of the Company.
Prior to this role he was the Financial Controller at Manipal Universal Learning, a learning resource development centre of the Manipal Group. He started his career as a Trainee in 20th Century Finance in Mumbai a leading financial services Company.
He is a member of the CII in Bangalore. |
