MANIPAL ACUNOVA LAUNCHES ASIA RESEARCH CENTRE

Bangalore, January 23, 2006 - Manipal AcuNova, "India's No 1 Emerging CRO", inaugurated its Asia Clinical Research Centre at Whitefield, Bangalore today. Sir William Castell LVO, Vice Chairman GE, Chairman GE Healthcare, dedicated the facility. This new Centre marks the focus and thrust of Manipal AcuNova to leverage its expertise in clinical research in the global market.

Asia Clinical Research Centre, will carry out clinical drug development and drug discovery research. It also houses a Central Reference Lab, Radiology Core Lab and a Cardiac Safety Monitoring Lab. The centre will have 150 professionals.

Manipal AcuNova recently completed studies for GE Healthcare providing significant outcomes paving way for further Clinical Development.
