| Dr. Satish Totey is a leading Scientist in Stem cell Research
and is the Chief Scientific Officer of the newly formed Stempeutics
Research Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Satish Totey and his team have embarked
on clinical trials program to be conducted at the Manipal
group of Hospitals as well as other multi-centric sites to
prove the concept that stem cells regenerate hope for patients
that have diseases which as of now have no cure. |

| Dr. Satish Totey has established the Manipal Institute for
Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine over the last 2 years,
working on both the Embryonic and Adult Mesenchymal Stem Cell
lines. He has undertaken pioneering work on Adult Mescenchymal
Stem Cells for spinal cord injury, Myocardial infarction and
Leg Ischemia. |

| Prior to joining Manipal, Dr. Totey was a Research Director
at Reliance Life Sciences at Mumbai and working on derivation
of human embryonic stem cell lines. Earlier, he worked as
a senior scientist at National Institute of Immunology, New
Delhi for more than 18 years where he focused on pre-implantation
embryo development, gene expression, transgenic research and
gene knock-out research. His research resulted in the first
transgenic mice in India and later on established 17 permanent
transgenic mouse models for several human diseases. |

| He has more than 25 years of research experience and post-doctoral
experience from the National Institute of Health, NIH USA
and at Netherlands. He has more than 92 publications in the
International Journals and 12 US patents to his credit. |

| He was awarded a post-graduate degree in veterinary medicine
and Ph.D degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His projects
aim to establish how vertebrates make an organ from undifferentiated
embryonic cells. |
